The Find

Small enough to hold in one hand, detailed enough to get lost in. This miniature Banko ware vase turned up the way the best things do — quietly, among other objects, waiting for someone to slow down long enough to actually look at it. The three-dimensional scenic relief carved into its surface stopped that from happening quickly. It came home because it earned it.
