WHAT WE KNOW
Amethyst is the purple variety of quartz, with color produced by trace iron and natural irradiation during crystal growth. Clusters form when multiple quartz crystals grow together within a mineral-rich cavity, each termination developing independently over geological time. This specimen weighs 163g and displays multiple crystal points on a matrix base. Unpolished; locality not independently verified.

THE STORY
Amethyst clusters are among the most visually compelling mineral specimens because of their architecture — multiple points emerging from a shared base, each slightly different in size and angle, creating a structure that reads as both geological and almost designed.
